The last week was incredible, I did amazing things every day this week.
Monday: I went to Westminster Abbey which is one of the oldest abbeys in England. It dates back to like the 1100s. It is stuffed full to the brim with memorials and graves. It is a very beautiful, gothic building.
Tuesday: I went to see WICKED! The musical was amazing. I sang along the whole time and absolutely loved it! So, if anyone wants to see a musical you should definitely go and see Wicked.
Wednesday: We spent the day in Dover which is about two hours south of London. We get to Dover Castle which is hundreds of years old and was built on a cliff overlooking the English channel. I got to explore World War 2 tunnels, explore the castle, and then go down to the beaches to see the White Cliffs of Dover. Finally, we went to Canterbury Cathedral which was incredibly elegant. It had vaulted ceilings and lots of pretty stained glass. This was probably my favorite church that I have seen thus far in London!
Thursday: I went to the Tower of London! I saw the Crown Jewels, the Royal Armory, the torture devices, and the executioner's stand.... it was really neat, but also kind of eerie.
Friday: We went on a country walk which was ten miles haha... through the fields, forests, along a river, by a castle, a cathedral, and just walked through the beautiful English countryside. It was one of my favorite days because the English countryside is so beautiful. We stopped by some lavender fields and a lavender shop was there, so I bought lavender icecream which was delicious! I did also get left behind at the train station and through a series of helpful people I was somehow able to find the group.
Saturday: Claire and I walked through the Portobello Market! There are people from all over the world selling food, clothing, artwork, jewelry, and all manner of things. It took us about four hours to walk through it and it was amazing!
Sunday: I went to my Brazillian World and now I am serving in primary for the next month. I am teaching the 9 and 10 year olds... also there are 11 kids in my class. Luckily, they all like to speak english, so if they don't understand me I can say it in english :) We also had a roast dinner with potatoes, carrots, rolls, salad, and nutella brownies!
Tomorrow I head to the North country for five days! We are going to York, the Lake District, Cambridge, Oxford, etc :)
Youre having amazing adventures! Thanks for sharing them with us! <3 :)
